Canon Powershot G12

September 5, 2012 – Watermelon

The watermelon looked so juicy and delicious as I cut it up for Amelia – I grabbed the Canon to snap it. I love the fine detail of the flesh and the shine that this shot has picked up.

August 2, 2012 – Toy up-close

I love this toy of Amelia’s and I love the macro lens on my Canon G12.

July 23, 2012 – Cumquat shadows

There’s some play on the light with our cumquat tree against the house. I like watching the changing shadows as the day progresses.

July 21, 2012 – Manzel on High

Manzel, Amelia and I checked out the new-ish Vietnamese cafe/bar Hanoi Hannah on High St. It was the perfect way to spend the warmest winter day we’ve had this season.

I chowed down on a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup – a fresh beef pho – and topped that off with the juice of a young coconut. Yum!

June 7, 2012 – Tulip up close

This tulip is one from a bunch I received for my birthday from a friend in mothers group. My macro lens on the G12 had a hard time getting exactly what I wanted in focus – but after much playing around – (almost) success!

May 23, 2012 – Playing in macro

This is so gross it had to be the shot of the day. Any guesses what it is?

May 19, 2012 – Reflections in a cafe

Today we went to an awesome little cafe, Forth Brother. We had high hopes for it cause it is rated a whopping 97% on Urbanspoon.

Food was delicious, service great and the brothers are highly recommended. Check ’em out next time you’re in Caulfield.
