October 6, 2012 – Beautiful light

Ceiling light at a cafe in Hampton. I haven’t the foggiest on what the name of the cafe was, so I can’t give my usual link or review. I went for a tour down to Hampton with a friend to find some op shop bargains. The only person in our family who scored anything from the outing was Amelia.

Back to the photo… the light has a beautiful art-deco feel doesn’t it.

I love this bold typeface. Are there any typography people out there? What is it?

August 22, 2012 – Jam Factory ceiling

I love the ceiling at the Jam Factory. It’s a shopping centre now but was originally a brewery, then, duh, a jam factory.

The jam factory closed in the 1960’s after a gradual downturn in the preserves/jam market throughout the 50’s due to the growing affluence of once were jam lovers eating more fresh fruit.

August 3, 2012 – Waiting

I had lunch with a friend in Richmond today and as we walked down Lennox St we approached this lovely old building; I thought – perfect old building to shoot – inadvertently I also snapped a girl waiting in the sun.

July 31, 2012 – Old Windsor

I’ve spied another relic of old Windsor on James st. I wonder what this was… at the moment it’s apartments.

P.S Those who follow this blog will know that I am pretty behind in posting my daily shot. Sorry for the upcoming barrage!
