Today I wore a hat.
It’s so instant and has captured my mood perfectly in this shot.
I’m reading A Game of Thrones, the first book in the series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. It’s 780 pages long so it will be quite an achievement once I finish. It’s the basis of the cult HBO show called Game of Thrones.
Book two, A Clash Of Kings is even longer… but I can’t wait to get stuck into it.
From left to right; me (with Amelia in her baby carrier, brother and my mum).
This shot reminds me of a multiple exposure shot. Standing on the corner of Chapel & Union sts, outside a vintage store called Le Contraste I was able to get street traffic, me and passers-by on both sides of the corner by snapping through the glass. I think its created a great shot where I notice new detail each time I study it.
I stayed close to home today and it got quite late when I realised I hadn’t taken any shots yet. That would have meant this blog was over before it really even got going. I shot lots of self portraits on the G12 today, the viewing window can spin around so you can see the “holiday snap” before you take it.
I was clearly focused on how I appeared not looking at the lense, but I like the way the cheek leads across the image and that only a small part of my face is in focus.
